Signs incorporating English.

I don´t have all the material yet but I plan to upload here photos of shop signs, menus etc which incorporate English well, badly or to comic effect.

I need to get snapping the best examples. It is curious how English is incorporated into other language. An example that comes to mind is "Low Cost", it appears to be in vogue to whack that next to an offer or even a shop name just to show there is a good deal to be had in that establishment. In the UK "Low Cost" is usually just a synonym for Ryanair or Easyjet.

I better get snapping and uploading said images.

Doesn´t a year fly past quickly?

I can´t believe it has been a year since I posted anything on this blog. If you left your favourite crumble untouched for a year, it would be somewhat rancid. So apologies for the hum lingering around this tiny corner of cyberspace.

Well in the year which has passed I have tucked into at least one of the boxes which appeared in my last post.

.... which is not watching 1980s UK drama series, but the cockney rhyming slang for what this geezer has instead of a Barnet i.e. a Syrup .....

Note to non-users of Cockney Rhyming slang:
Barnet is short for Barnet Fair which in common parlance is Hair. (Barnet = hair)
Syrup is short for Syrup of Figs which in common parlance is Wig. (Syrup = wig)
